Hello, I'm Edward Paul Ferguson and welcome to my website. 

I'm a singer / songwriter / Multi-instrumentalist from Seattle, a working musician, and active performer in the local jazz community here in the Pacific Northwest. I released my debut CD " Changes " a few years ago, and my next release " Evolution" is scheduled for a fall 2009 release. Currently, I'm performing throughout Seattle and Western Washington as part of the Michael Powers trio (www.michaelpowersmusic.com) , as well as part of the Paul Richardson group (www.paulrichardsonmusic.com). I also work with a number of other great groups in the area in addition to doing session work and teaching music. For my day gig, I work at Bass Northwest as the store manager (www.bassnw.com), a one of a kind, boutique music store that specializes in Electric Bass Gear. Here's a brief description of my first CD, where I wrote all the songs, and played most all of the instruments in addition to recording, engineering and producing this project. A labor of love indeed, but a wonderful experience and a diverse and eclectic mix of music.

This recording is made very much in the spirit of great artists like Sting, Steve Winwood, Steely Dan & David Byrne ( of Talking Heads fame ), who's music reflects their ability to cross over a wide variety of musical genres with ease, while retaining their individuality and artistic vision.  Each composition is wonderfully unique and this CD's diversity is reminiscent of some of the most adventurous recordings in rock music.
