HERE ARE MP3's FROM EDWARD PAUL's 2006 DEBUT CD "CHANGES" !! (As The Beatles said " Send me a postcard, Drop me a line, Stating Point of View....... let us know what you think of the music via a Guestbook posting or email to eddyferguson@msn.com ) Looking for Home ( Entire Track ) Solo Projects / Collaborations Willie Wonka - This is a 2 -part solo Edward recorded with the Garz Bass from the movie soundtrack of Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory". This cut is called "Pure Imagination" and is one of his favorites. Select the link below to hear this track........ Twilight - This is an instrumental track that EP wrote in 2005 for a collaboration, and one of the first recordings he made using his new Garz Bass. This song will be part of a side project to be released in 2007. Click on the link below to hear this tune... This next composition is a collaboration with Curtis Chandler, and features the Red P-Bass for the first part and the White Wal Bass for the solo melody at the end. Curtis does all the guitar, drums, and production of this tune, EP added all the bass tracks and they did the keys together. Special Props to Dyan Chandler for the excellent "ambient train station recital" of French poetry that plays in the background of the 2nd part of this composition. When it comes to cool, unconventional musical ideas, Curtis is the man ! This composition is titled "Uncommon Objects", and was written and used by Experience Music Project for a major museum exhibit debuted in 2002. This exhibit was a cool collection of unique musical pop culture "artifacts". Such as Elvis Presley's Blue Suede Shoes, Jim Morrison's Snakeskin jacket, the huge green apple from Abbey Road studios, Madonna's Cone-Bra, etc. The unique challenge of this soundtrack was to incorporate a variety of audio clips from famous artists (whose artifacts were being featured ) within the framework on a central theme. This composition is 13 minutes long, and features Curtis as an editor / producer. Edward provided all the bass tracks using his FenderFretless and Fretted Jazz Basses..... This exhibit has traveled throughout the United States, and this music played everyday, all day long for 6 months straight at EMP ! Curtis and Edward have worked on a number of other projects which will be featured on this site in the future...... This Composition is by friend/ex-bandmate & co-worker Dave Chick, and can be heard playing everyday in the Interplaetary Lounge, located inside the EMP Science Fiction Museum in Seattle Washington. This is a new, amazing museum exhibit that pays homage to all things Sci-Fi. Check it out and learn more about it and EMP by going to www.emplive.com EP used his Red P-Bass for the main bass tracks and the fretless for the theme at the end. Nice Mwaaaahhh.......... Inter-Planetary Lounge (Soundtrack) Here are two audio clips featuring a duet w/ Reek Havok. This improvisational jam was performed at the Liquid Lounge in Fall 2002 with Edward on bass & vocals ( Fretless on Byrdland Za Frankenbass on Cum Together) and Reek on a custom electronic drum/percussion setup he calls Merglys X. It's an amazing collection of beatboxes, effect units, signal processors and anything else that Reek can find that makes some sort of strange noises. He remembered when Reek asked him what he wanted in regards to this gig, and he replied " Just do whatever you want". This is what happens when Reek is unleashed upon an unsuspecting world............................HAVOK ! Enjoy the looseness of these jams, and how crazy they get ! Props to my buddy Reek ( who has worked with damn near EVERYONE !) , who Robert Palmer once described as " A Sound Scientist From the Future !". You gotta love that quote........... This Audio File is a live 2-track DAT recording from EMP in January 2003 as part of their "Jazz in January" celebration / tribute held there every year. Edward Paul wrote curicullum and performed for a number of classes for priamry & secondary education students. Some Solo Bass Tracks, so you can hear what each one sounds like...........
